Licking Missouri is a beautiful small town located in the foothills of the Missouri Ozark Highlands in the south central Missouri. Licking has much to offer and sits in a scenic Ozark Region that is virtually free from pollution of the air and water. It is just 35 miles south of Rolla and I-44, 138 miles southwest of St. Louis, Missouri, and 100 miles northeast of Springfield, Missouri. U.S. Highway 63 and Missouri Highways 32 and 137 all run through Licking. Highway 63 is Missouri's primary north-south route in the center of the state.

Licking is also located near Montauk State Park. Offering some of the finest trout fishing in the Midwest, Montauk State Park is located at the headwaters of the famed Current River. The cool, clear stream is an ideal home for rainbow trout, and the scenic valley is the perfect setting for camping, hiking and other outdoor pursuits. A gristmill, built in 1896, is open seasonally for tours.
